Pengfei Qinhé is one of Jincheng City’s key local coal enterprises, located in the heart of the Qinshui Coalfield—the nation’s largest anthracite‑producing region. It primarily manufactures high‑quality anthracite, with its products supplied directly to Shandong, Shaanxi, and Linfen, and also marketed to Henan, Hebei, Jiangsu, and other regions.

Pengfei’s 5-million-ton coking production base is located in the Wutong Coal Chemical Circular Economy Demonstration Park in Xiaoyi. Designated as a provincial key project, it has pioneered the adoption of cutting-edge global coking technologies and equipment, establishing an end-to-end clean production model characterized by “four nos”: no personnel, no vehicles, no materials, and no dust.
Advanced Processes and Equipment
The plant employs Germany’s state-of-the-art SCP coke‑making equipment and the United States’ advanced heat‑cycle coking technology, and was the first in China to build a 6.25‑meter, three‑stage heated pusher‑type coke oven, which officially entered commercial operation on January 13, 2013.
Green and low-carbon development
To fully implement the important directive set forth in the CPC Central Committee’s “Opinions on Launching a Comprehensive Pilot Program for Energy Revolution in Shanxi”—namely, “building a green coking industry base”—Pengfei Group has remained focused on its core objectives and steadfastly pursued a path of green, low‑carbon, and circular development. In 2020, it commissioned Lüliang City’s first dry quenching–based power generation project. In 2022, with the commissioning of the dry quenching facility at the Xinyu Coking Plant, Pengfei’s coking business entered the era of dry quenching across the board, energetically advancing along the track of high‑quality development in the coking industry.

The methanol–LNG co‑production project has fundamentally transformed the conventional process for producing methanol and synthetic ammonia. It is one of the few projects nationwide that simultaneously manufactures methanol, LNG, and synthetic ammonia on a single process route, placing it among the industry’s leaders and adding a significant milestone to Shanxi’s high‑quality transformation and development.
Green Development
This project leverages coke oven gas and low-temperature synthesis to efficiently convert coking by-products into high-value-added products, serving as a key pillar of the Group’s green development and achieving both product sophistication and operational efficiency.
Methanol–LNG–Synthetic Ammonia Production Base: Leveraging coke oven gas and low-temperature synthesis technology, the facility produces 300,000 tons of methanol, 200 million cubic meters of LNG, and 100,000 tons of synthetic ammonia annually. It is one of the few projects nationwide that simultaneously manufactures methanol, LNG, and synthetic ammonia within a single process flow.

As of now, Pengfei Group has put 830 hydrogen‑powered vehicles into operation, meeting both freight and passenger transport needs.
