On the afternoon of December 27, the Fifth Shanxi Provincial Commendation Conference for Outstanding Builders of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics was held in Taiyuan, the provincial capital. Xu Guangguo, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee and Head of the United Front Work Department; Wang Chun, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Shanxi Provincial People’s Congress and Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions; Yan Chenxi, Vice Chairman of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference; and other leaders attended the event and presented awards. Zheng Zihao, Chairman of Shanxi Jueneng New Fuel Co., Ltd. under Pengfei Group, was conferred the honorary title of “Fifth Shanxi Provincial Outstanding Builder of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics.”

In his address, Xu Guangguo pointed out that the 99 comrades honored this time are representatives of the non-public sector and the new social strata in our province, embodying the spirit of the times of builders of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics and showcasing the boundless vitality of our province’s thriving private economy. He expressed the hope that those recognized will cherish their honors, remain modest and prudent, further promote the fine spirit of builders—centered on patriotism, dedication, innovation, law-abiding conduct, integrity, and contribution—and shoulder the heavy responsibilities entrusted by the new era, continuing to set an exemplary standard as they embark on this new journey.

This selection as a “Distinguished Builder of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in Shanxi Province, Fifth Term” not only represents the Provincial United Front Work Department’s full recognition of Comrade Zheng Zihao’s significant achievements in vigorously promoting a zero‑carbon smart logistics platform under the “dual carbon” goals, thereby realizing intelligent energy‑saving management and operations; it also underscores support for and encouragement of Pengfei’s proactive response to the national energy‑transition strategy and its steadfast commitment to developing a comprehensive hydrogen‑energy industrial chain. Following tiered recommendations and rigorous evaluation, 99 individuals from the non-public sector and the new social strata were awarded the title of “Fifth Shanxi Province Outstanding Builder of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics.” The initiative aims to recognize exemplary figures, further inspire non‑public‑sector entrepreneurs and members of the new social strata to strengthen their ideals and convictions, pursue high‑quality development, uphold integrity and abide by the law, and actively fulfill their social responsibilities, while vigorously promoting the spirit of the new Shanxi merchants and making new and greater contributions to advancing Shanxi’s practice of Chinese‑style modernization.
