1 .Factory Site Layout 1 Hazardous waste temporary storage room, building area 120   square meter It is used for the temporary storage of hazardous waste generated within the plant area and has been equipped with seepage‑proof containment measures.

2 . Emergency Measures : In the event of a hazardous waste leak, upon detecting any abnormality, on-duty personnel shall immediately report to the shift supervisor. The supervisor will promptly notify the plant’s hazardous waste manager and immediately dispatch emergency response teams to the incident site for handling in accordance with the emergency response plan for sudden environmental incidents. The plant is equipped with appropriate emergency supplies.

III. Measures for the Prevention and Control of Hazardous Waste

1. Waste Sorting and Labeling : Hazardous waste must be classified and labeled according to its characteristics. Classification may be based on the waste’s physical, chemical, and biological properties to ensure appropriate treatment and disposal. Labeling requirements apply to hazardous waste containers to alert personnel to the necessary safety measures for handling and disposal.

2. Waste storage : Hazardous waste must be stored in a safe manner to prevent leaks and environmental contamination. Storage areas should be located away from residential areas and water sources to mitigate potential risks to human health and the environment.

3. Waste transportation : Hazardous waste must be transported using appropriate methods and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. During transport, waste containers must be securely sealed and properly secured to prevent leaks and contamination. In addition, suitable protective equipment and tools must be used to minimize the risk of accidents.

4. Waste treatment and disposal : The treatment and disposal of hazardous waste must comply with environmental protection requirements. Hazardous waste may be treated using physical, chemical, or biological methods to reduce or eliminate its risks to the environment and human health. Treated waste should then be properly disposed of through appropriate means, such as incineration, landfilling, or recycling.

5. Waste Monitoring and Reporting : Monitoring hazardous waste enables the timely identification and correction of potential contamination issues. Such monitoring may involve assessing waste quality, concentration, and release rates. Monitoring results should be reported regularly to ensure that waste handling and disposal comply with applicable regulations.

6. Education and Public Awareness : Educating and raising public awareness about the prevention and control of hazardous waste can enhance people’s environmental consciousness and sense of responsibility. The public should understand the risks that hazardous waste poses to the environment and to human health, as well as the proper methods for its handling and disposal.

In summary, the prevention and control of hazardous waste pollution require source‑level management, categorized treatment, proper storage and disposal, as well as monitoring and public awareness‑raising. Only through comprehensive management and control measures can we effectively prevent hazardous waste‑related pollution and safeguard both the environment and human health.
