On November 21, the 2025 Global Panda Partnership Conference, themed “Joint Protection, Joint Development, and Shared Benefits,” opened ceremoniously in Chengdu. Lü Yansong, Editor-in-Chief of Xinhua News Agency and Deputy Secretary of its Party Leadership Group; Shi Xiaolin, Deputy Secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Sichuan Province; and Liu Guohong, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration (National Park Administration), attended the event and delivered remarks. The conference was chaired by Liu Jian, Vice President of Xinhua News Agency.

During the conference, the “Pursuing Innovation and Green Growth: Unlocking the Future through Sustainable Supply Chains” forum on green, low-carbon, and ESG development was held. Zheng Peng, together with Zhao Donghui, Director and Party Secretary of the Xinhua News Agency’s Shanxi Branch; Ji Lei, Vice President of Xinhua News Agency’s China Economic Information Service and General Manager of its Shanghai Headquarters; Zhang Shuhua, Second-Level Inspector at the Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Economic Cooperation; and Guo Zhicheng, Vice President of Hopu Clean Energy (Group) Co., Ltd., jointly released the “Pengfei Group 2024 ESG Report.”

The report systematically reviews Pengfei’s initiatives and achievements across the three key areas of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). From fostering “green momentum” through the development of a comprehensive hydrogen‑energy value chain, to harnessing the “power of goodness” rooted in the traditions of filial piety and righteousness, and further to advancing modern corporate governance guided by cultural awareness, the report comprehensively underscores Pengfei’s unwavering commitment and tangible results in driving a green transformation.

Zheng Peng stated that ESG has evolved into an essential imperative for corporate survival and growth, rapidly transitioning from a shared philosophical consensus to a set of mandatory standards. Adhering to a profound respect for the environment and embracing proactive social responsibility, Pengfei Group has translated the cultural values of “filial piety” and “righteousness” into its corporate governance framework, fostering both “freedom premised on constraints” and “spontaneous conscientiousness.” In doing so, the Group has progressively established an ESG implementation approach uniquely tailored to its identity, which manifests in legal compliance as the bedrock of its operations, in clear codes of conduct, and in the deliberate fulfillment of social responsibilities. Looking ahead, Pengfei Group hopes to join forces with all stakeholders to usher in a new era of harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature, where economic prosperity and social progress reinforce one another, and to collectively stride toward a greener, warmer, and smarter future.

During the conference, Pengfei Group signed agreements with Hopu Clean Energy, the Chengdu Economic Development Zone, and Zerun Digital Media of the Shaanxi Tourism Group, covering areas such as hydrogen‑energy value‑chain collaboration, integrated industrial‑urban development, and the convergence of digital technologies with cultural tourism.

Before the conference began, Lü Yansong, Shi Xiaolin, Liu Guohong, and others visited the panda-themed cultural and creative market and related exhibitions.
