On the afternoon of September 27, an international cooperation promotion and matchmaking conference on clean energy was held in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. Li Zhengyin, Vice Chairman of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, attended and delivered a speech, while Jiao Yufeng, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Shanxi Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, chaired the meeting. Zheng Peng, Chairman of the Board of Pengfei Group, engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges with attending leaders and business representatives, focusing on the company’s practices in transitioning to clean energy.
This matchmaking event brought together a distinguished roster of key players from the global energy sector. On the international front, senior executives from multinational corporations in Japan, the United States, New Zealand, Qatar, and other countries, along with heads of overseas business associations from Germany, Spain, Canada, Russia, and more, were in attendance. Domestically, representatives from state-owned energy enterprises, officials from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and leading clean-energy companies participated. Meanwhile, local stakeholders from Shanxi Province—including officials from relevant provincial departments, leaders of major development zones, and executives from energy firms—also took part, creating a multi‑tiered framework for collaboration and exchange that integrates “global perspectives, domestic resources, and local expertise.”
Vice Chairman Li Zhengyin pointed out that, in pursuit of building a new‑type energy system, Shanxi Province has launched a series of major initiatives—such as enhancing the capacity to supply green coal, promoting the clean and low‑carbon development of coal‑fired power, and actively developing non‑fossil energy sources—thereby injecting strong momentum into deepening international cooperation on clean energy. He expressed confidence that, with concerted efforts from all stakeholders, Shanxi Province will surely usher in a new chapter of innovative development and international collaboration in the field of clean energy.
Zheng Peng stated that Pengfei Group has actively responded to the national energy strategy. While advancing the low-carbon transformation of traditional energy sources, the group has proactively positioned the entire hydrogen‑energy value chain as its core development priority, establishing a comprehensive industrial ecosystem spanning hydrogen production, storage and transportation, refueling, end‑use applications, R&D, and equipment manufacturing. To date, the group has achieved stable operation of 830 hydrogen‑powered vehicles, demonstrating the commercial viability of hydrogen in diverse scenarios, including heavy‑duty transport, urban commuting, and logistics delivery. In terms of international cooperation, Pengfei has this year reached consensus with countries such as Ireland and Romania on joint initiatives for hydrogen technologies and projects, laying the groundwork for integrating into the global hydrogen market.
Looking ahead, Pengfei Group will continue to build a high‑standard, end‑to‑end hydrogen energy industry chain, helping Shanxi Province establish itself as a national clean‑energy hub. By contributing Chinese expertise through the “Pengfei Solution,” and adopting a global perspective, the Group will drive innovation in technology, equipment, and business models on the world stage, injecting fresh momentum into the global transition toward green and low‑carbon development.
