On September 11, Anthea Heffernan, Counsellor at the British Embassy in China, and Joseph Mansour, Director of the International Energy Office within the UK’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, paid a visit to Pengfei for an inspection and exchange meeting. Zhang Cuizhen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Xiaoyi Municipal Party Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor, along with Zheng Zihao, Vice President of the Pengfei Group, also attended.
At the symposium, both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on hydrogen production, policy frameworks, cost considerations, and technological challenges. They unanimously agreed that fostering hydrogen‑energy cooperation between enterprises of the two countries would serve as a powerful catalyst for the transformation of the global energy sector. Prior to the meeting, the delegation, accompanied by Zheng Zihao, closely examined Pengfei’s hydrogen‑energy industry development plan, its innovative achievements, and real‑world application scenarios. They jointly experienced Pengfei’s hydrogen‑powered shared bicycles and took a ride in its hydrogen‑fuel‑cell heavy‑duty trucks and hydrogen‑powered loaders, gaining firsthand insight into the tangible results and promising prospects of Pengfei’s efforts to advance the “dual carbon” goals. The group expressed high praise for the Pengfei hydrogen‑energy brand, product quality, and exceptional customer service, unanimously commending Pengfei as an outstanding and highly advanced enterprise.
The visit of the British Embassy’s Counselor‑led delegation to Shanxi, and specifically to Pengfei, underscores the international community’s keen interest in Shanxi’s comprehensive energy‑revolution reforms and in Pengfei’s pioneering efforts to advance hydrogen‑based new‑energy development.
