Pengfei Hydrogen Energy made a remarkable appearance at the 12th China Energy Scientists Forum and Carbon Neutrality Conference.

From August 16 to 18, the 12th China Energy Scientists Forum and Carbon Neutrality Conference, themed “Pooling Youthful Wisdom, Creating a Green Future,” was held in the picturesque coastal city of Qingdao. Academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering led representatives from various sectors in a joint discussion on sustainable development and pathways toward carbon neutrality in the energy sector.

More than 400 leaders, experts, and entrepreneurs attended, including Ling Wen, Chairman of the Shandong Provincial Association for Science and Technology and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Jia Chengzao, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Wu Qiang, President of the China Energy Society and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Zhao Wenzhi, Vice President of the Beijing Society for Energy and Environment and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Zhang Laibin, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Dai Caili, Vice President of China University of Petroleum (East China); Li Zhongyuan, President of the Shanxi Think Tank Development Association; and Zheng Peng, Chairman of the Board and President of Pengfei Group as well as Chairman of the Shanxi Hydrogen Energy Industry Alliance.

Academicians Ling Wen and others emphasized that sustainable development is not only an inevitable choice for the energy sector but also a critical pillar for high-quality economic and social development. They called on all sectors of society to join forces in building a green, low-carbon, and efficient energy system.

Zheng Peng delivered a keynote report titled “Dedicated to Building the Pengfei Hydrogen Energy Brand, Making Green Development a Distinctive Foundation for High‑Quality Growth.” He stated that, as the leading enterprise in Shanxi Province’s hydrogen energy industrial chain, Pengfei has wholeheartedly responded to the national call for an energy revolution, committing itself to green transformation and high‑quality development. Leveraging Shanxi’s abundant resource endowments and unique geographical advantages, the company has vigorously advanced the green hydrogen energy sector, achieving notable progress in hydrogen production, applications, and the establishment of a complete industrial value chain. Through technological innovation and strategic partnerships, Pengfei continues to elevate the industry’s technical capabilities and expand the scope of commercial use cases. The company is actively building the North China–Northwest China hydrogen energy corridor, promoting the research, development, and deployment of new‑energy vehicles such as hydrogen‑powered buses, heavy‑duty hydrogen trucks, and hydrogen‑powered shared bicycles, with the aim of achieving energy self‑reliance and advancing green development.

Since its inception in 2009, the China Energy Scientists Forum has been successfully held for eleven sessions, becoming a key platform for exchange in the energy sector both in China and worldwide.
