On June 21, Zhao Yongjin, Secretary of the Qinyuan County Party Committee; Xu Jilian, Deputy Secretary of the County Party Committee and County Mayor; Wang Hongbin, Director of the Standing Committee of the County People’s Congress; Ma Jianfeng, Chairman of the County Political Consultative Conference; along with leaders from the County Party Committee, People’s Congress, Government, and CPPCC, as well as representatives from the County Economic Development Zone, various functional departments, and all townships, together with heads of key county‑level enterprises, visited Pengfei to conduct an on-site inspection and research into the development of Pengfei’s comprehensive hydrogen energy industrial chain. Accompanying them were Guo Qingzhi, Deputy Secretary of the Xiaoyi Municipal Party Committee and Mayor; Li Xiaochun, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee; Han Junming, Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress; Wang Shili, Chairman of the Municipal Political Consultative Conference; Feng Guangyuan, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of the Xiaoyi Economic Development Zone; and Vice Mayor Xue Zhiqiang. They were warmly received by Zheng Peng, Chairman of the Board and President of Pengfei Group.
A delegation from Qinyuan County conducted on-site visits and research at the water electrolysis green hydrogen project site, the Pengwan Hydrogen Port Integrated Control Center, the urban hydrogen refueling integrated energy island, and the 5G‑enabled Central Dispatch and Command Management Center.
Zhao Yongjin pointed out that Pengfei Hydrogen Energy has achieved remarkable results and made significant progress in its strategic deployment. Developing the hydrogen energy sector is of great importance for driving the transformation and upgrading of Qinyuan County’s traditional industries and fostering new drivers of economic growth. The Qinyuan County Party Committee and County Government will provide full support, focusing on the entire lifecycle of enterprise project development, continuously optimizing the business environment, and ensuring the swift advancement of projects with high quality and efficiency. They will also strengthen in-depth cooperation with Pengfei Group, facilitate the implementation of hydrogen‑energy demonstration applications in Qinyuan, and promote the high‑quality, large‑scale, and industrialized commercialization of the entire hydrogen energy value chain.
Guo Qingzhi emphasized that in recent years, Xiaoyi City has positioned hydrogen energy as a key priority for developing new‑type productive forces, vigorously advancing Pengfei Group’s comprehensive industrial‑chain strategy in the hydrogen sector. The city has expanded application scenarios to include hydrogen‑powered heavy‑duty trucks, hydrogen‑fuel‑cell buses, and hydrogen‑powered shared bicycles, resulting in robust growth across the hydrogen industry. As a provincial demonstration base for the commercialization of hydrogen‑energy technologies, Pengfei Group is poised—drawing on its accumulated experience—to accelerate the implementation of hydrogen‑energy projects in Qinyuan, thereby catalyzing broader adoption of low‑carbon lifestyles and green mobility and establishing them as a new hallmark of Shanxi Province.
Zheng Peng provided a detailed overview of Pengfei’s comprehensive plan for the hydrogen energy industry, covering hydrogen production, refueling, applications, equipment manufacturing, and the development of specialized towns dedicated to hydrogen energy. He noted that, with the vigorous support of Party committees and governments at all levels in the province and city, and thanks to the strong backing of industry partners, Pengfei has been actively forging a new path for economic growth along the hydrogen energy value chain, having already established replicable and scalable best practices. Moving forward, Pengfei will leverage its strengths to advance the green‑hydrogen project and the construction of an integrated energy island in Qinyuan County, harnessing the “hydrogen” engine to help Qinyuan take the lead in achieving high‑quality development.
