On May 20, the Lüliang City Industrial Reform and Workers’ “Five Smalls” Innovation Excellence Exhibition opened at the Lüliang Gymnasium, showcasing outstanding “Five Smalls” innovation projects from across all industries and sectors in the city. Employees of Pengfei Group used the event to present a new image of industrial workers in the new era.

It is reported that the three-day event, themed “Empowering Through Industrial Transformation, Crafting Dreams with Artisan Spirit,” provided a platform for technical exchange among enterprises through activities such as the review of “Five Small” innovation achievements, a forum featuring model workers and master craftsmen, and employee innovation lectures.

On May 21, Sun Dajun, Secretary of the Lüliang Municipal Party Committee, visited the exhibition showcasing outstanding achievements in “Five Small” innovations. Pengfei’s industrial worker, Li Yourong, presented the various innovative outcomes through vivid, hands-on demonstrations. Sun Dajun highly commended Pengfei Group’s innovation efforts, noting that the company has leveraged technological advancement to address safety hazards in production, and that its containerized coke‑quenching system boasts high safety and strong practicality.

Employees of the Group Company—Zhang Tingting, Zheng Lixiang, and Zhang Jinmei—appeared one after another at the “Model Workers and Skilled Craftsmen” forum, where they addressed the moderator’s questions on topics such as Pengfei Group’s reform-driven empowerment and pathways for the development of industrial workers. In addition, eight technical professionals, including Li Liquan and Hao Zihao, were invited to serve as judges in the “Five Smalls” Innovation Competition, participating in the evaluation of various projects.

At the review site, the panel of judges conducted on‑site scoring of projects across various sectors and enterprises, evaluating them on technological sophistication, practicality, and other criteria. Employees of the Group secured two second‑place awards, seven third‑place awards, and twelve excellence awards, earning the title of “Outstanding Unit.” Meanwhile, the Hydrogen Energy Industry Employee Innovation Studio Alliance has been established at Pengfei.

This event served as a concentrated showcase of the transformation of frontline production‑reform workers within the Group—from “workers” to “skilled artisans”—fully highlighting the enhanced all‑round competencies of these frontline industrial laborers. It has also advanced the “tool revolution” and the drive toward “specialized skills and industrialized expertise,” embedding the spirit of model workers and the craftsman’s ethos in the hearts of the broader industrial workforce, fostering a stronger sense of belonging and reinforcing their resolve to hone their skills on the job and give back to society.
