The first batch of hydrogen‑powered shared bicycles in Xiaoyi City weighs 55 kilograms, carries 50 grams of hydrogen, offers a range of 60 kilometers, and reaches a top speed of 23 km/h. Equipped with low‑carbon solid‑state hydrogen storage technology, they deliver safe and reliable performance; their frames are sourced from leading domestic brands, showcasing cutting‑edge aesthetics; and they run on mature, intelligent operating software, ensuring convenient and efficient management.

The first batch of hydrogen-powered buses in Xiaoyi City was independently developed and manufactured by Dongfeng Special Vehicle, a subsidiary of Pengfei. Starting on September 27, 2023, these buses entered trial operation, primarily serving intercity passenger transport between Xiaoyi and Jiexiu, thus becoming the province’s first demonstration route for zero‑carbon intercity transportation. Since the start of trial operations, vehicle quality has improved, and passenger safety has been ensured.
