On April 18, a delegation led by Chow Yik-hai, Director of Investment at the Hong Kong Investment Promotion Agency, paid a visit to Pengfei. The group was warmly received by Wu Jianfei, Chief Advisor of Pengfei Group, and others, and the two sides held an exchange session focusing on hydrogen energy, trade, finance, and other topics.

Zhou Yikai provided a detailed overview of the Hong Kong Investment Promotion Agency’s core functions, scope of operations, and recent developments in Hong Kong’s economic landscape, investment environment, and industry opportunities. He emphasized that developing hydrogen energy is a key component of Hong Kong’s carbon‑reduction strategy, underscoring the need to attract new enterprises, cutting‑edge technologies, innovative business models, and forward‑thinking ideas to unlock limitless potential for green economic growth. He expressed hope that both sides will strengthen communication and collaboration, with the Hong Kong Investment Promotion Agency further assuming its roles as a facilitator and promoter by offering tailored services and expert advice, thereby creating favorable conditions for Pengfei’s future development and for leveraging Hong Kong’s strategic gateway to expand into international markets.

Wu Jianfei provided an overview of the company’s development, the overall strategic layout of the hydrogen energy industry, and future plans, noting that Hong Kong enjoys unique geographical advantages and strengths in scientific and technological innovation, while also maintaining an open economic framework and a globally oriented outlook. He expressed the hope that both sides would take two-way breakthroughs in hydrogen energy and trade as their guiding priorities, further strengthen information sharing and collaborative exchanges, and jointly explore effective measures and innovative approaches to enhance corporate competitiveness and refine service delivery. In doing so, they aim to achieve more substantial results in high‑quality “attracting investment” and high‑level “going global.”
