Pengfei Group’s 2024 Yangquan Niangziguan Half Marathon Successfully Held

Hydrogen shapes the future, leading the way in low-carbon development. On April 21, the 2024 Yangquan Niangziguan Half Marathon, exclusively sponsored by Pengfei Group, was successfully held. More than 5,000 domestic and international runners gathered in Pingding, embarking on an exhilarating journey to chase their dreams under a sky of blue and billowing white clouds. This event also marked Shanxi Province’s first A1‑category half marathon certified by the Chinese Athletics Association.

Du Rong, Deputy Director of the Shanxi Provincial Sports Bureau; Wang Lin, President of the Shanxi Young Entrepreneurs Association and Party Secretary and Chairman of the Huajian Sports Holding Group; Ren Xiaohua, Party Secretary of Yangquan Normal College; Guo Mancang, Deputy Secretary of the Pingding County Party Committee and County Mayor; and Zhang Xuanming, Vice President of Pengfei Group, among others, attended the starting ceremony, fired the starting gun, and led the “Mini Run.”

At 8:30 a.m., as the starting gun fired, runners surged forward like arrows released from their bows, embarking on this springtime marathon. Participants from Pengfei, clad in uniform attire, sprinted along the various courses, each showcasing their unique flair. Swaths of vibrant “Pengfei Green” echoed the lush, breathtaking beauty of spring, while enthusiastic spectators lining the route waved flags and cheered, creating a truly spectacular scene.

In this event, Pengfei Group fielded 16 participants in the men’s and women’s half marathon (21.0975 km), 9 in the 10-km race, and over 300 in the 5-km mini‑run. Though the courses varied, Pengfei’s athletes all embodied the marathon spirit—pushing beyond their limits, never giving up—and the Pengfei ethos of striving for first place, through sheer grit and perseverance.

At the event site, from the main stage and racecourse setup to the finish area, Pengfei‑themed elements—such as the “Pengfei mascot,” the “Pengfei logo,” and “hydrogen water”—were virtually everywhere. In particular, the Pengfei mascot, upon its debut, quickly won over countless fans with its adorable appearance, drawing large crowds of runners and spectators eager to pose for photos. Notably, Pengfei not only set up a refreshment station at the race’s finish line to help participants replenish their energy after the run but also encouraged all its employees and management to take part. Ultimately, more than 300 staff members signed up, injecting Pengfei’s vibrant spirit into the 2024 Yangquan Niangziguan Half Marathon.

In addition, Pengfei has prepared a special surprise for all participants: within the designated period, contestants can enjoy free admission or discounted tickets to national AAAA‑level attractions such as the Liu Family Residence and Xiangyu Ancient Fort, along with preferential housing purchase benefits at Pengfei·Nankai Academy.

Marathons, by promoting a low‑carbon, green, zero‑consumption lifestyle, help advance the values of sustainable development and contribute to building a “green planet.” Looking ahead, Pengfei is committed to a path that enhances human health and transforms the global energy landscape. The company will continue to drive the full‑chain development of the hydrogen economy—covering production, storage, transportation, refueling, application, and research—and strengthen and extend related industrial links, making green living a defining trend of our times and benefiting everyone.
