4 On the afternoon of the 16th, Zhao Hongquan, a specially appointed researcher at the China Center for International Economic and Trade Exchange, senior advisor to the SCO’s Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform, and head of the preparatory group for the SCO Energy Storage and New Energy Working Committee, along with his delegation, paid a visit to Pengfei for an observation and symposium. They were received by Zheng Peng, Chairman of the Board and President of Pengfei Group, among others. The two sides engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on expanding and developing Pengfei’s comprehensive hydrogen energy industry chain.

Zhao Hongquan highly commended Pengfei’s progress and achievements in the industrial Internet and hydrogen energy sectors, noting that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform, rooted in China, extending its reach across the SCO, fostering connectivity with neighboring regions, and engaging the global community, plays a vital role in helping member entities pursue international expansion and bolster the development of an open economy. He expressed his hope to strengthen communication and exchanges with Pengfei, share resources and expertise, take Xiaoyi as a strategic reference point, and use Pengfei’s growth as a starting point, so as to achieve mutual benefit, win‑win outcomes, and shared development.

Zheng Peng outlined Pengfei’s comprehensive plan for the hydrogen energy industry, including equipment deployment, technological R&D, and the development of specialized hydrogen‑energy towns. He expressed his hope that this exchange would serve as a catalyst to attract investment and expand international cooperation, leveraging hydrogen energy, the export of hydrogen‑powered heavy trucks, and the convention‑and‑exhibition economy. With a focus on the goal of “building Lüliang into a hydrogen hub worth hundreds of billions of yuan and establishing it as a leading hydrogen‑energy industrial center in northern China,” he pledged to make an even greater contribution to advancing the high‑quality development of clean energy.
