On November 19, the 2022 China Summit on the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Cities was held in Qidong City, Jiangsu Province. Zheng Peng, Chairman of the Board and President of Shanxi Pengfei Group, attended the event by invitation. Leaders from domestic research institutions and top‑100 counties and cities, heads of well‑known enterprises and investment firms, as well as experts, scholars, and media representatives gathered in Qidong to exchange ideas and explore pathways for small and medium-sized cities to advance high‑quality development and foster integrated urban–rural development.
At the forum’s opening ceremony, Shanxi Pengfei Group was awarded the title of “2022 Enterprise with Special Contributions to Promoting High-Quality Development in Small and Medium-Sized Cities.” This prestigious national honor recognizes the group’s steadfast commitment to corporate social responsibility and its efforts to support the high-quality economic and social development of local communities.

In recent years, under the strong leadership of the Xiaoyi Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Pengfei Group has seen its revenue steadily grow—moving from the Top 100 Private Enterprises in Shanxi to the Top 500 Private Enterprises in China, and ultimately to the Top 500 Chinese Enterprises. From traditional coal‑coking chemical industries to a full‑chain clean energy ecosystem, Pengfei Group has become an indispensable pillar driving high‑quality development of the private sector in Shanxi Province. This year, with total tax payments reaching RMB 3.791 billion, it once again topped the list of the Top 100 Shanxi private enterprises by total tax contributions.
