On October 21, the Xiaoyi Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government held a relocation and move-in ceremony for D‑class households in the centralized resettlement housing project following the disaster, at Daxiaobao Town. Liu Shiqing, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Lüliang Municipal People’s Congress and Secretary of the Xiaoyi Municipal Party Committee; Guo Qingzhi, Deputy Secretary of the Xiaoyi Municipal Party Committee and Mayor; along with leaders from municipal, town, and village levels, as well as Zheng Peng, Chairman of the Board and President of Pengfei Group, attended the ceremony and joined representatives of the affected residents in witnessing this compassionate and hope‑inspiring project undertaken in solidarity.

At the ceremony, Chairman Zheng Peng spoke on behalf of the donating organizations, extending warm congratulations to the disaster‑stricken residents who have moved into their new homes, as well as to the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government and to all departments, bureaus, and units involved in the reconstruction. He noted that the sight of one towering building after another rising from the ground today—this vibrant, thriving scene—is the true embodiment of a “happy home.” Such achievements are the result of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government’s credibility, reliability, proactive spirit, and sense of responsibility. In just one year, high‑rise buildings have sprung up and been made ready for occupancy—a pace of development akin to “a sudden spring breeze turning thousands upon thousands of pear trees into blossoms”—which reflects the deep concern of the municipal leadership for those left homeless, their heartfelt care and compassion, and the tangible results of their earnest, practical, and responsible governance. It is precisely this kind of leadership that has enabled Pengfei Group to consistently uphold, with unwavering commitment, the sense of social responsibility that requires no prompting.

Chairman Zheng Peng stated that, despite last year’s unprecedented flooding—which inflicted substantial economic losses—Pengfei Group resolutely prioritized the urgent needs of the affected people and aligned with the vision of the municipal Party committee and government. The group promptly allocated 60 million yuan to support post-disaster reconstruction, followed by self‑reliance efforts, thereby truly embodying Pengfei’s core value of “love.” Moving forward, Pengfei Group will remain firmly committed to the leadership of the Party, strengthen the real economy, and accelerate the clean utilization of energy. Under the strong guidance of the municipal Party committee and government, the company is determined to bring the hydrogen‑energy industry system to fruition at an early date.

Though floods swept away embankments and submerged homes, they could not dampen the genuine care and support from all sectors of society for the people in the disaster-stricken areas. In particular, entrepreneurs, driven by deep affection for their hometowns and a strong sense of social responsibility, stepped forward at critical moments, generously offering their resources and turning acts of kindness into hope for the affected communities as they rebuild their lives. Chairman Zheng Peng delivered a speech on behalf of the entrepreneurs who have made generous donations to the post-disaster reconstruction effort. The entrepreneurial community of Xiaoyi is not only a force of pragmatism and enterprise, wielding significant influence throughout the province and across Lüliang; it is also a group of business leaders deeply committed to Xiaoyi’s development and its people, demonstrating both passion and a sense of responsibility. Through their concrete actions, they have exemplified the noble spirit and admirable qualities of private-sector entrepreneurs in the new era.

Last October, Xiaoyi City experienced its strongest autumn flood in 50 years, with widespread damage across the city—particularly severe in Daxiaobao Town. Pengfei Group also suffered unprecedented losses: its factories were forced to shut down, equipment was damaged, and raw materials were discarded, resulting in economic losses totaling 65 million yuan. Yet, upon learning that 14 villages in Daxiaobao Town had been hit hard and many villagers were left homeless, Pengfei Group stepped forward without hesitation. Under the leadership of the municipal Party committee and government, it took the lead by committing 60 million yuan to support post‑disaster reconstruction, followed by organizing self‑rescue efforts. A year later, with the concerted support of all sectors, a “Happy Home” spanning over 90,000 square meters has risen from the ground, providing spacious, bright new homes for 310 households whose residences had been classified as Grade D–level disaster‑affected, ushering in a modern, town‑like life of prosperity and well‑being.

Following the ceremony, Chairman Zheng Peng joined city leaders in visiting the Xingfu Jiayuan resettlement community.
