On June 14, Pengfei Group and the Shenyang Research Institute of China Coal Science and Technology Group held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony. Building on their existing collaboration in research and technical support as well as expert consultation services, the two parties further deepened their partnership, ushering in a new chapter of mutual benefit. Zheng Peng, Chairman of the Board and President of Pengfei Group, and Zu Guolin, Deputy General Manager of Shenyang Research Co., Ltd. of China Coal Science and Technology Group, led their respective core teams to attend the signing ceremony.
The Shenyang Research Institute of China Coal Science and Technology Group was founded in 1953, making it one of the earliest coal‑mine research institutions established in the People’s Republic of China. It enjoys a high degree of authority in pioneering coal‑mine safety technologies, including gas‑hazard prevention and control equipment and engineering, as well as ventilation and fire‑prevention and extinguishing technologies and related equipment.
Prior to the signing, both parties held a roundtable discussion to review the outcomes of their cooperation over the past year since the strategic cooperation agreement was successfully signed on May 7, 2021, to identify existing challenges, and to outline directions for deepening collaboration in the next phase.
Chairman Zheng Peng stated that renewing the contract with the Shenyang Research Institute is both a positive development and a significant milestone, demonstrating mutual recognition and trust throughout the collaboration and providing an excellent foundation for continued partnership. He also outlined the impact of relevant national policies under the new circumstances on the coal industry, as well as Pengfei Group’s plans and arrangements for ensuring safe production in the coal sector this year.
It is hoped that both parties will forge a high-caliber talent pool through in-depth cooperation and jointly advance workplace safety in the coal division of Pengfei Group.
Zu Guolin, Deputy General Manager of Shenyang Research Co., Ltd. of China Coal Science and Technology Group, stated that Pengfei Group is the first private enterprise to sign a strategic cooperation agreement with the Shenyang Research Institute. With this renewed collaboration, the Institute will continue to provide dedicated and high‑quality services, further advancing the partnership and yielding even greater results.
