Pengfei Coking Plant Held the 8th “Ankang Cup” Safety Knowledge Competition.

This competition was centered on the theme “Identifying and Rectifying Safety Hazards to Jointly Promote Safe and Sustainable Development,” and consisted of three rounds: mandatory questions, buzzer‑style questions, and risk‑based questions. Teams from nine workshops—including Chemical Production, Electrical & Instrumentation, Coking, and Mechanical Maintenance—participated. A panel of impartial judges and an arbitration panel were also in place to ensure the event was conducted fairly and transparently.
The year 2022 is a pivotal year for publicizing, implementing, and enforcing the new Work Safety Law; it also marks the phase of consolidating and elevating Shanxi Province’s three-year special campaign on work safety, and represents a critical year for Pengfei Group to enhance management, drive transformation, strengthen workplace safety, and earnestly put into practice the principle that “life comes first.”
In response to the Group’s call during the nation’s 21st Safety Production Month, the Pengfei Coking Plant’s Trade Union and Safety Committee jointly organized the eighth “Ankang Cup” Safety Knowledge Competition. Leaders from the Xiaoyi City Emergency Management Bureau and the Wutong Town Government attended the event.
Amid the enthusiastic cheers of the on-site cheerleading squad, Pengfei Coking Plant’s eighth “Ankang Cup” safety knowledge competition kicked off with great fanfare.
This competition was centered on the theme “Identifying and Rectifying Safety Hazards to Jointly Promote Safe and Sustainable Development,” and consisted of three rounds: mandatory questions, buzzer‑style questions, and risk‑based questions. Teams from nine workshops—including Chemical Production, Electrical & Instrumentation, Coking, and Mechanical Repair—participated. A panel of impartial judges and an arbitration panel were also in place to ensure the event was conducted fairly and justly.
After a fiercely contested competition, the coking workshop team took first place with an impressive score of 240 points, earning the collective first prize. Yang Shumin, Deputy Director of the Xiaoyi City Emergency Management Bureau, and Zhang Zhilong, Deputy General Manager of the coking system and Plant Manager of Pengfei Coking Plant, presented the award medals.
Prevention must come before problems arise, and responsibility is heavier than Mount Tai. Taking this event as an opportunity, Pengfei Coking Plant will conscientiously abide by safety production rules and regulations, serve as both a promoter and a frontline defender of safety, and make its due contribution to the safe production efforts of the Pengfei Group.
