At 9:00 a.m., the event commenced to the rousing and inspiring strains of the “March of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.” More than 100 militia members from organizations including Pengfei Group, the Lantian Rescue Team of Xiaoyi City, and the Xiaoyi Military‑Entrepreneurship Base stood at attention in full uniform, their spirits high and their presence dignified.
Following the reading of appointment orders for core militia cadres and the announcement of lists of personnel joining or leaving the ranks, as well as a roll-call exercise, Chu Zhanfeng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Xiaoyi Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor of the Municipal Government, together with Chairman Zheng Peng, unveiled the plaque for the “Xiaoyi City Militia Emergency Company of Shanxi Province,” while Li Yisheng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Xiaoyi Municipal Party Committee and Colonel Commander of the People’s Armed Forces Department, presented the flag to the militia emergency company.
All militia members clenched their right fists and solemnly took an oath, their resounding pledges underscoring the sense of responsibility and commitment of the new‑era militia. Following the oath, a militia unit composed of Pengfei Security personnel presented a military‑performance demonstration, showcasing five disciplines: close‑quarters combat techniques, bayonet‑assault drills, baton‑and‑shield maneuvers, emergency‑response stick work, and explosive‑hazard response formations.
Following the presentation, Zheng Peng, Chairman of the Board and President of Pengfei Group, extended a warm welcome and heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the Group to the leaders and colleagues in attendance.
Li Yisheng, a member of the Standing Committee of the Xiaoyi Municipal Party Committee and Colonel‑level Director of the People’s Armed Forces Department, summarized the militia work of 2021 and made arrangements for the militia reorganization and consolidation efforts in 2022.
