From a young age, we’ve been taught that “labor is the most glorious,” and indeed, that’s true.
Recently, the Office of the Leading Group for Selection and Commendation in Shanxi Province published the list of recipients of the Shanxi Provincial May Day Labor Awards. Shengshi Fuyuan Methanol Manufacturing Co., Ltd. of Xiaoyi City was awarded the “Shanxi Provincial May Day Labor Certificate,” and Wang Xiaobo, a technician at Nan’ao Temple Coal Industry Co., Ltd. of Shanxi Qinhé Energy Group, was presented with the “Shanxi Provincial May Day Labor Medal.” These honors not only recognize their outstanding achievements but also serve as encouragement and acknowledgment for all Pengfei employees who remain dedicated to their posts and work with diligence and professionalism.

Xiaoyi Shengshi Fuyuan Methanol Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Xiaoyi Pengfei Industrial Co., Ltd., with registered capital of RMB 500 million. It is located in the Wutong Industrial Park, Xiaoyi City, Lüliang Prefecture, Shanxi Province, and was established in April 2014. Pengfei Industrial (Group), founded in 1993, has grown into a large, diversified, high-tech private enterprise integrating premium coal production, coke manufacturing, methanol production, coal‑gas power generation, ferrosilicon and metallic magnesium smelting, as well as transportation and logistics. The Group has been recognized as a “Top 100 Private Enterprise in Shanxi Province,” an “Outstanding Enterprise in Shanxi Province,” and a “Contract‑Abiding and Credit‑Respecting Enterprise in Shanxi Province.”
Shengshi Fuyuan Methanol Manufacturing Co., Ltd. primarily utilizes coke oven gas—a byproduct of the 1.92-million-ton-per-year coking unit operated by Xiaoyi Pengfei Industrial Co., Ltd.—to produce methanol and LNG. The company’s annual production capacity is 300,000 tons of methanol and 150,000 tons of LNG. Its production process encompasses key steps including oxygen‑enriched gasification, wet desulfurization, decoking oil removal, gas holder operation, feed gas compression, TSA, fine desulfurization, MDEA decarbonization, drying and liquefaction, syngas compression, methanol synthesis, methanol rectification, and PSA hydrogen recovery.

Major Achievements
In 2018, the company participated in the standardization project for mechanical, electrical, and transportation systems, achieving centralized control of major underground transport equipment and ensuring the safety of both equipment and personnel.
In 2022, we assisted the Taiyuan Design Institute in completing the design of our mine’s intelligent construction project and successfully finished the construction of the intelligent tunneling face in the 3503 return airway. This accelerated the progress of our smart mine development.
