On the morning of March 9, Shanxi Province Vice Governor Tang Zhiping led a delegation to Pengfei Group for an on-site inspection. At the group’s methanol‑to‑LNG project, the Pengwan Hydrogen Port hydrogen energy industrial park, the Pengfei 5G+ central dispatch and command management platform, the digital exhibition hall, and the smart Party‑building center, Vice Governor Tang engaged in in-depth discussions with Zheng Peng, Chairman of the Board and President of Pengfei Group, gaining a detailed understanding of the group’s industrial chain structure, hydrogen‑energy application development, and progress on new‑infrastructure projects.
Tang Zhiping urged that, in accordance with the deployment and requirements of the provincial development zone work promotion conference, efforts to advance project construction must be intensified, the cultivation of emerging industries accelerated, proactive coordination and follow-up services strengthened, and application‑driven innovation in big data, the Internet of Things, and other fields promoted, so as to vigorously propel development zones toward higher rankings and upgrading. He also called for innovative service approaches, enhanced administrative efficiency, and ongoing improvements to the business environment.
In the immersive experience space of the digital exhibition hall, Tang Zhiping personally experienced what it’s like to ride an overhead personnel carrier down into a mine shaft, and remarked that this high-tech form of engagement has given him a deeper understanding of underground coal‑mine operations and the functioning of shearer machines.
