The first phase of the “Three Batches” initiative for development zones across the province in 2021.
The Lüliang sub-venue event was successfully held at Pengfei.
At 9:00 a.m. sharp on January 1, 2021, the province-wide “Three Batches” initiative—featuring the signing of a batch of projects, the commencement of construction on a batch, and the commissioning of a batch—was simultaneously launched across all development zones in the province.
At the meeting, Pengfei Group signed agreements with the Xiaoyi Municipal Government, Huaxin Gas, China United Coalbed Methane, and Shanxi Dezhi for projects involving hydrogen production from coke oven gas, hydrogen refueling stations, and new‑energy vehicle manufacturing. It also entered into a contract with the Shanxi Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone and the Xiaoyi Economic Development Zone for the Pengwan Hydrogen Port Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park’s 200,000‑ton‑per‑year coke oven gas‑to‑hydrogen project.

Pengfei’s 5G+ Central Dispatch and Command Management Platform Has Officially Been Put into Service.
In early 2021, we completed and commissioned a 1,200-square-meter 5G‑plus central dispatch and command management platform in just 90 days. As the Lüliang sub‑venue for the first phase of Shanxi Province’s “Three Batches” initiative in 2021, the platform showcased Pengfei’s spirit, speed, and strength to leaders at all levels across the province and city.
The 5G+ Central Dispatch and Command Management Platform has established an unmanned, digital cloud computing center. Leveraging advanced industrial Internet and cloud computing technologies, it integrates and interconnects the 10‑gigabit backbone fiber‑optic networks across four cities—Lüliang, Jincheng, Yangquan, and Changzhi—under Shanxi Pengfei Group.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Pengwan Hydrogen Port Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park project was held with great solemnity.
The hydrogen production project at the Pengwan Hydrogen Port Industrial Park utilizes coke oven gas to produce hydrogen and is being developed in three phases. It is a key project under the supervision of the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee and has been designated as a priority initiative in Shanxi Province’s 14th Five-Year Plan. The project is designed with an annual capacity of 200,000 tons.
The first phase of the 20,000-ton-per-year hydrogen production project from coke oven gas was officially launched on January 1, 2021, during the province’s first “Three Batches” initiative of 2021, witnessed by leaders at provincial and municipal levels. On April 17, 2021, Pengfei Group signed a general contracting agreement with China National Machinery Industry Corporation and China National Chemical Engineering Ninth Construction Co., Ltd. for the first phase of the Pengwan Hydrogen Port Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park—specifically, the 20,000-ton-per-year coke oven gas–to–hydrogen project—marking the project’s entry into the substantive construction stage.
Adhering to the principle of “commencing construction, commissioning, and achieving results all within the same year,” by the end of December 2021, the Pengwan Hydrogen Port Hydrogen Industry Park project had successfully met its target of completing more than half of both the schedule and the construction work. Currently, the project is progressing rapidly according to plan: civil works are nearing completion, installation is more than halfway finished, external pipeline construction has been completed, and internal pipeline work has commenced. The remaining tasks are slated for completion after the New Year, with commercial operation expected to begin in June 2022.

The Pengfei Corporate Culture Co-Creation Project has been launched, and its core ethos has been unveiled.
When a company has a strong culture, Pengfei has spirit—and Pengfei has strength! On April 7, 2021, Pengfei Group officially launched its corporate‑culture co‑creation initiative, “Culture Is Productivity.” Following the 2018 training program for managerial cadres, Pengfei and Renmin University have once again joined forces to jointly build and elevate the remarkable achievements of Pengfei Group’s corporate culture. On May 23, 2021, the ceremony marking the official release of Pengfei Group’s core cultural ethos, along with the finals of the “Learning from the Pengfei Spirit” speech contest, was held with great solemnity. During the event, the core principles of Pengfei Group’s corporate culture were unveiled and thoroughly explained.

Pengfei Group has launched the first red-themed train operated by a private enterprise in Shanxi Province.
On the occasion of the July 1st anniversary, Pengfei Group launched Shanxi Province’s first red-themed train operated by a private enterprise. Led by Zheng Peng, Secretary of the Party General Branch, a total of 500 participants—including all Party members, probationary Party members, active candidates, and employee representatives—visited Wuxiang County in Changzhi City, a key red‑education base in southeastern Shanxi, to take part in a themed practical activity on Party history study and education titled “Visiting Red Education Bases and Experiencing Authentic Records of Party History.”
The Red‑Train Journey of Pengfei Group marks the first of its kind among private enterprises in Shanxi Province. As one of China’s Top 500 Enterprises, Pengfei Group has, over its 28‑year history, consistently integrated Party building with corporate management and corporate culture, truly putting into practice the principle that “Party building is productive force.” By embedding the spirit of the Party deep within Pengfei’s corporate ethos, the Group is contributing its strength to both enterprise development and the prosperity of the motherland.

Forum on the CPC’s Leadership in the Development of the Private Sector
Held with great solemnity at Pengfei Group
On June 27, 2021, the Forum on the CPC’s Leadership in the Development of the Private Economy, themed “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration, Honor the Party’s Kindness, and Forge Ahead Under Its Guidance,” was solemnly held at Shanxi Pengfei Group. The forum took place in Xiaoyi, a county-level city that has been the only one in the province to rank among China’s Top 100 for 13 consecutive years. Hosted by Pengfei Group, a member of the China Top 500 Enterprises, the event underscores the group’s deep concern for and high regard of the CPC’s role in driving private-sector development, and reflects the confidence and steadfast commitment that have guided Pengfei Group over the past 28 years: “Unswervingly following the Party and uniting hearts and minds to pursue development.”

Pengfei Group Made a Resonant Statement at the China Enterprise Forum.
On September 24, 2021, the Fourth China Enterprise Forum was held in Jinan, Shandong. Pengfei Group attended the forum, boldly voicing its vision as China embarks on a new era of hydrogen‑driven transformation.
Zheng Peng, Chairman of the Board and President of Pengfei Group, was invited to attend and delivered a keynote address on the transition from old to new growth drivers, drawing on Pengfei Group’s 28-year transformation journey. Developing the hydrogen energy industry represents a rare opportunity for Shanxi to advance its energy revolution and reduce carbon emissions. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, aligned with the “dual carbon” goals, Pengfei Group has leveraged Shanxi’s abundant coking‑gas resources and its own industrial‑chain strengths to proactively explore pathways for high‑quality development in the hydrogen sector. With remarkable foresight, the company has established the Pengwan Hydrogen Port Industrial Park, pioneering a route for producing hydrogen from coking gas and setting a benchmark for hydrogen production from coking gas across the province and even nationwide.

Pengfei Group made its debut in the China Top 500 Enterprises ranking. 354th place
On September 25, 2021, the “2021 China Top 500 Enterprises” and the “China Top 500 Private Enterprises” lists were unveiled in Changchun, Jilin, and Changsha, Hunan, respectively. Shanxi Pengfei Group, with operating revenue of RMB 56.78 billion, made its debut on the China Top 500 list at No. 354. It also ranked No. 166 on the China Top 500 Private Enterprises list, a remarkable climb of 309 places from last year’s No. 475, and No. 87 on the China Top 500 Private Manufacturing Enterprises list, up 187 spots from last year’s No. 274—both rankings marking the top position in Shanxi Province. With bold aspirations for the “hydrogen” era and a dynamic drive toward energy transformation, Pengfei strides confidently toward global leadership. This is a source of pride for every member of the Pengfei family. Joining Hands to “Jin” Together: Embracing Responsibility as a Top 100 Enterprise
Pengfei Group has donated over 100 million yuan in total to support post-disaster reconstruction.
“Taking on social responsibility with courage has become a self‑evident commitment for Pengfei over more than two decades of development.” As a leading private enterprise in Shanxi Province that has been ranked among the Top 500 Chinese Enterprises, Pengfei Group has consistently upheld its social responsibilities and fulfilled its mission.
In early October 2021, Shanxi Province experienced its strongest autumn flood on record. The Pengfei Methanol Plant, located adjacent to the Wenyu River, was forced to shut down completely due to sustained heavy rainfall. Other factories and mines under the Pengfei Group also suffered varying degrees of damage, with total economic losses reaching 65 million yuan. During disaster relief efforts, enterprises affiliated with the Pengfei Group not only actively engaged in self-rescue and worked to resume production but also generously contributed to flood‑control and rescue operations. The group and its subsidiaries have collectively donated more than 100 million yuan. Through concrete actions, the Pengfei Group is demonstrating its sense of responsibility and conveying its strength through acts of great compassion.

Pengfei Group has been recognized as a model of corporate social responsibility among China’s private enterprises. Outstanding Case
On December 21, 2021, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce released the “China Private Enterprise Social Responsibility Report” and, for the first time, unveiled the “Top 100 Chinese Private Enterprises in Social Responsibility 2021” list. Pengfei Group was included on the list, ranking 47th.
Guided by its corporate mission to “create happiness for those who are committed to Pengfei’s cause,” the Group has, in recent years, invested a total of hundreds of millions of yuan in areas such as educational donations, ecological greening, road construction, and medical care. Notably, in 2020 it contributed over 6 million yuan to the fight against the COVID‑19 pandemic, and in 2021 it donated more than 100 million yuan toward flood relief and post‑disaster reconstruction. Assuming social responsibility has become an instinctive, self‑driven commitment that requires no further prompting in Pengfei’s development.
