Recently, Shanxi Province has been hit by heavy rainfall, causing urban flooding, geological disasters, and widespread inundation in many areas. Factories and mines under Pengfei have also sustained varying degrees of damage, making the flood‑control situation extremely grave. While actively engaging in self‑rescue efforts, Pengfei Group has proactively shouldered its social responsibilities, promptly reaching out to the Xiaoyi City Charity Federation and donating RMB 300,000—under the banner of the Pengfei Group Women’s Federation—to help the affected residents of Xiaoyi weather this crisis.
On the afternoon of the 10th, the Xiaoyi City Charity Federation specially presented the Pengfei Group Women’s Federation with banners reading “United in Fighting Floods, Women Show Compassion” and “Women Unite to Pool Strength, Join Hands to Combat the Flood Disaster.” Yang Fengming, Vice Mayor of the Xiaoyi Municipal Government, and Hou Yanhong, Chairwoman of the Municipal Women’s Federation, attended the ceremony. Lv Xiaofang, Executive Vice President of the Group and Chairwoman of the Women’s Federation, also participated, while Xie Junying, President of the Xiaoyi City Charity Federation, presided over the event.
Lü Xiaofang stated that, while actively organizing self-rescue efforts, Pengfei Group also donated 300,000 yuan through the Xiaoyi City Charity Federation—funds earmarked for the post-disaster reconstruction of women and children, on behalf of the Pengfei Women’s Federation. “As long as the government calls upon us and the people have need,” she added, “Pengfei Group will wholeheartedly support and cooperate, upholding the spirit of ‘proactive self-rescue while never forgetting to serve society,’ and contributing Pengfei’s strength to Xiaoyi City’s flood prevention and disaster relief work.”
Hou Yanhong, on behalf of the Municipal Women’s Federation, commended the Pengfei Group Women’s Federation for its exemplary sense of responsibility and spirit of great compassion, as well as the Group’s Chairman of the Board, Zheng Peng, for his broad-mindedness in prioritizing the greater good over personal interests and his selfless dedication as an entrepreneur.
Yang Fengming, on behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, extended heartfelt gratitude to the Pengfei Group’s Women’s Federation and to all the group’s employees and cadres, commending the company for its ongoing commitment to giving back to society and its proactive assumption of social responsibility, which has earned widespread recognition from all sectors of society. He also called on all units, associations, and organizations in Xiaoyi to learn from the Pengfei Group, actively join disaster relief efforts, and contribute their own strength and dedication.
