The Taiyuan Forum, approved by the State Council in 2016, is a national-level, international, and specialized forum that wields significant influence in the energy sector both at home and abroad. It is steadily evolving into a premier platform for high‑level dialogue, a venue for the dissemination of cutting‑edge research and innovations, and a hub for fostering international cooperation in the energy field.
This forum is the first high-level event in the energy sector held in China following the country’s announcement of its carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals.
According to reports, this year’s Taiyuan Forum is themed “Energy, Climate, and Environment,” and has invited approximately 300 international and domestic participants, including leaders from the State Council and relevant national ministries and commissions, academicians, foreign ambassadors accredited to China, representatives of multinational corporations, and executives from Fortune Global 500 companies.
Following the meeting, Chairman Zheng Peng also granted a special interview to media outlets including China Energy News and Shanxi Daily, discussing the latest progress of Pengfei’s current coke‑oven hydrogen‑production project.
