6 On the 20th of the month, Zheng Peng, Secretary of the Party General Branch, led all Party members, probationary Party members, active candidates, and employee representatives to Wuxiang County, Changzhi City—the red revolutionary base in southeastern Shanxi—to carry out a thematic practical activity on Party history study and education.

Since joining the company in 2005, Lü Xiaofang has consistently drawn her motivation from a strong sense of political responsibility, diligently fulfilling her duties, dedicating herself wholeheartedly, and working tirelessly. On the platform of Shanxi Pengfei Group, she has actively championed the rights and interests of the workforce, establishing the Women’s Federation and the Trade Union Federation of Xiaoyi City’s Pengfei Group, and adding facilities such as a library, a mother-and‑baby room, and a psychological counseling center. During major holidays, she organizes cultural and artistic events to enrich employees’ lives. She has also led staff in launching various initiatives to provide assistance to those in need, ushering in a new chapter in the Party‑mass work at Pengfei Group. Her efforts have earned unanimous recognition and high praise from the workforce, who affectionately refer to her as “one of our own.” In 2019, she was honored with the title of “March 8th Red Banner Holder” by Xiaoyi City.

Over the years, she has consistently set the continuous enhancement of her own capabilities as a personal challenge, willingly placing additional pressure on herself. First, she has steadfastly pursued the study of political theory. Recognizing that theory guides action, she has closely integrated her studies with practical work, diligently learning the Party’s guidelines, policies, and current domestic and international affairs, while also acquiring knowledge in areas such as the market economy, hospitality, and finance. By seamlessly applying this knowledge to her daily duties, she has strengthened her commitment to upholding the Party’s principles, policies, and lines, ensuring that her political stance, ideological orientation, and actions remain in full alignment with the CPC Central Committee and the provincial and municipal Party committees. Second, she has led by example. As the saying goes, “If one’s conduct is upright, commands are obeyed without being issued; if it is not, even issued they will not be heeded.” In her work, she has maintained integrity, acted with fairness, upheld principles in major matters, and shown grace in minor ones, skillfully engaging in both criticism and self-criticism. She holds her colleagues to high standards while also showing genuine care and concern, winning their respect through empathy and reason. Under her leadership, her department has fostered a work environment characterized by mutual support, understanding, and unity of purpose and effort. Third, she has remained committed to clean governance and diligent service. As Chairwoman of the Women’s Federation, she has consistently held herself to rigorous standards, conscientiously observed Party discipline, and conducted her conduct in accordance with established norms, practicing integrity and self-discipline. When working at the grassroots level, she has placed great emphasis on understanding the aspirations and hardships of women, doing her utmost within her capacity to help them resolve real‑world issues.

Each year, the organization actively hosts celebrations for International Women’s Day. This year, the “Confessions of Love” initiative—where male employees sent heartfelt messages to their families—received unanimous praise. On International Women’s Day, the company arranges gynecological check-ups for female staff, conducts irregular screenings for breast and cervical cancers, and organizes health‑education seminars to safeguard their well‑being. Under her leadership, the Women’s Federation collaborated with the company’s Human Resources Department to provide a monthly 30‑yuan hygiene allowance to all female employees, ensuring comprehensive protection of their rights. Additionally, the organization has established an “Employee Legal Education Hub,” complete with a mediation room and a legal consultation office, and leverages internal communication channels to deliver legal awareness programs, empowering female employees to understand, respect, and effectively apply the law.

Since assuming the roles of Chairwoman of the Group’s Women’s Federation and the Trade Union Federation, she has actively organized a series of initiatives for employees, including “Joint Party–Mass Study Sessions,” “A Grand Speech on the Pengfei Spirit,” “Management Enhancement Programs,” and “Skills Competitions.” She has also hosted mental health workshops for female employees. Through the “Warm‑Heart Project,” she has bolstered employee well‑being by undertaking extensive improvements to both living and working conditions: deploying 100‑megabit fiber‑optic networks in the headquarters and at all factory sites, building standardized employee apartments and recreational facilities, and creating dedicated spaces—such as an “Employee Library”—designed to nurture the physical and mental health of women. Additionally, she has organized essay contests, book‑reading salons, and showcases of creative works to meet the cultural and spiritual needs of female staff.

Every year during the Spring Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Women’s Federation organizes visits to frontline workplaces to extend condolences to female employees. It also conducts door-to-door outreach to single mothers and low-income worker families, delivering stationery gift packs and books to households with children in need, and providing financial assistance to workers facing hardship. Staff warmly engage in heartfelt conversations, show genuine concern for their living conditions, and offer support and help. Upholding the principle of serving workers, the Federation regularly convenes symposiums with female employee representatives, warmly welcomes every woman who comes forward with concerns, and carefully listens to the difficulties and issues she raises, ensuring that female employees truly feel the Women’s Federation is a trustworthy “home away from home.”

By continuously transforming the Party’s political strengths, organizational advantages, and close ties with the masses into corporate governance and market‑competitive edge, Pengfei has reaped abundant achievements in its Party‑mass work in recent years. Thanks to her tireless efforts, these initiatives have earned recognition at higher levels: the Pengfei Party General Branch was awarded the title of “Shanxi Province Party‑Building Education Demonstration Base” and the “Xiaoyi City Advanced Grassroots Party Organization”; the Litiānxià Branch received the Lüliang Municipal Organization Department’s “Dual‑Strong, Six‑Good” model Party organization honor; the Pengfei Trade Union Federation was honored as a “Model Workers’ Home of Shanxi Province” and a “Most Beautiful Labor Collective of Xiaoyi City”; and the Pengfei Group Women’s Federation was recognized as an “Advanced Collective by the Municipal Women’s Federation.” Moreover, she herself was elected as a deputy to the People’s Congress, voicing the concerns of the people. Since 2016, the Pengfei Women’s Federation has hosted more than ten visits from higher authorities and women’s federations across various regions, welcoming over 300 participants.

Since assuming the post of Chairwoman of the Renpengfei Group Women’s Federation in 2017, Comrade Lü Xiaofang has devoted herself quietly to this unassuming role, pouring her heart and soul into her work. Before her, there always seems to be an endless stream of tasks, and she never appears to run out of energy. Her words and actions embody the spirit of our times, and her professional attitude remains consistently sincere, enthusiastic, and rigorous.
