On September 16, the Top 100 Private Enterprises in Shanxi Province were announced, with Pengfei ranking 8th overall and 7th among the top 20 manufacturing companies. This represents a significant leap from its 2018 rankings of 21st place overall and 17th in the manufacturing sector.
On September 16, the 2020 Top 100 Private Enterprises in Shanxi was unveiled at a conference held in Taiyuan. The event released the lists of the 2020 Top 100 Private Enterprises in Shanxi, the Top 20 Private Manufacturing Enterprises in Shanxi, the Top 20 Private Service Enterprises in Shanxi, and the Top 20 Most Promising Private Enterprises in Shanxi, along with an analytical report on the top 100 companies.
Pengfei Group ranked 6th on both the 2020 Top 100 Private Enterprises in Shanxi and the Top 20 Private Manufacturing Enterprises in Shanxi, marking a continued rise in its ranking compared to 2018 and 2019.
According to the analytical report released at the conference, the private sector in Shanxi accounts for 48.9% of the province’s GDP, with private fixed‑asset investment representing 53.5% of total provincial investment. It also employs approximately 77% of the workforce during the same period and contributes 59.6% of the province’s tax revenue.
Pengfei Group ranks first among the top 100 private enterprises in terms of total assets, with a total of RMB 58.616 billion; it places third on the list of total tax payments, with RMB 1.527 billion; and secures fourth place on the list of post-tax net profits, with RMB 1.684 billion. Among the five private companies employing more than 10,000 people, it ranks second.
Various data indicate that Pengfei Group plays an indispensable and pivotal role in driving the steady growth in both scale and quality of the province’s top 100 private enterprises, the ongoing optimization of the industrial structure, and the continuous enhancement of social contributions.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Shanxi Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce has released its list of the province’s top 100 private enterprises, and for the fourth year in a row, Pengfei Group has made the list.
